Having lost its position as the world’s largest phone manufacturer in recent years due to declining sales, Samsung is now on an upward trend again thanks to the success of the Galaxy S24 series. While demand for the company’s budget models is decreasing day by day, it is evident that high-end devices like the Galaxy S series and the Fold are still highly popular.
The brand has seen an increase in sales not only in a few countries but worldwide, with the majority of these sales being attributed to the S24 Ultra model. This development could signify a reshuffling of the cards in the smartphone industry. Here are all the details…
Galaxy S24 makes headlines with its sales figures!
During the first three weeks of its release, the Galaxy S24 saw a remarkable 8% increase in sales compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 series. The picture is also quite positive in Samsung’s home market of South Korea.
While the company increased its sales in this country by 22% compared to the previous year, the figure stood at 14% in America. Notably, there was a 28% increase in pre-orders in Western European countries like Germany and France.
Although the Galaxy S23 had a decent performance last year, the Galaxy S24 series has taken things to the next level. It’s quite astonishing that the best-selling model in the series is the Ultra, accounting for a whopping 52%.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra, being one of the world’s most expensive smartphones, showcases users’ preference for larger screens. Following closely behind, we have the S24 at 27% and the S24 Plus at 21%.
